Male Anatomy
This chart shows a diagram of the male reproductive organs. The male
reproductive organs are external. Here we have the scrotum which contains
the testes and regulates the temperature which keeps this area cooler
than the normal body temperature.
When a boy reaches puberty he begins to produce sperm and continues to
do so right through his life. These sperm are carried in a fluid up through
tubes to the seminal vesicles where they are stored and mature. At the
time of ejaculation other fluids are added and between 200 and 500 million
sperm are released at any one ejaculate.
Prior to ejaculation a little droplet of semen presents at the tip of
the penis and this droplet can contain a high concentration of sperm.
